When Is an Additional POA Required? / Instances Requiring Submission of Additional POA

Demat Debit and Pledge Instruction (DDPI) enables the following activities in a demat account:

• Transfer of securities for settlement of trades executed through IIFL Capital Services Ltd.
• Pledging/Re-pledging of securities in favour of the Trading Member (TM), Clearing Member (CM), or Clearing Corporation (CC) for meeting margin requirements related to stock exchange transactions.

Further, an Additional DDPI is required for the following transactions:

• Mutual Fund transactions executed through Stock Exchange order entry platforms.
• Tendering of shares in Open Offers and Buyback Offers through Stock Exchange platforms.

For certain accounts, the Additional DDPI authorizing the above-mentioned transactions may not be available. In such cases, clients may not be able to avail these services through the online mechanism until the Additional DDPI is duly registered.
