What other restrictions are kept on IIFL trading platform?

For the safety of clients and to avoid liquidity concern, manipulated prices, punching errors, IIFL has restricted some trading patterns on TT. However in exceptional circumstances client may be allowed trade in such scrip’s / contracts through relationship manager. Relationship manager will verify the fair value, liquidity and assess the involved risk.

Z Category stocks – Clients are not allowed to short sell IIFL identified Z stocks. Client needs to provide delivery of the stock before selling.

Penny Stocks – Further IIFL has identified Z stocks in to penny category. Clients must assess the risk before trading in such stocks as these stocks are highly illiquid, having chances of unfair value or may be manipulated activities are driven by group of persons. IIFL has restricted trading through relationship manager for Rs. 5 lakh value. However client can trade online up-to available margin in his account.

BAN Period Contracts (Derivative Segment) – Clients are not allowed to rollover

Illiquid Contracts (Derivative Segment) – IIFL has blocked online trading illiquid contracts where open interest is less than 10 lots in the trading contract

Far Month Contracts (Derivative Segment) – IIFL has blocked online trading in Far month contracts which are beyond 3 expiry.

Order Price range in options segment – Clients are allowed to place orders in options segment within 50% range of last traded price.

Out of money options selling – IIFL has blocked deep out of money options for online trading

Brokerage blocking – Rs. 50 is blocked toward brokerage and other charges per lot in Derivative Option segment margin requirement.
