Voluntary Freeze Account / Unfreeze Account

A voluntary freeze account is a security feature that allows you to temporarily suspend access to your financial or brokerage account to prevent unauthorized transactions. It is a proactive measure commonly used in investing and trading when fraud or suspicious activity is suspected.

Voluntary Freezing Your Account
Via IIFL Markets Mobile App
  1. Log in to the IIFL Markets App.
  2. Click on the three horizontal lines beside your name.
  3. Select View / Manage Profile.
  4. Under Account Details, choose the Freeze Account option and proceed with the required steps.
Via IIFL Markets Web Portal
  1. Log in to https://markets.iiflcapital.com/.
  2. Click on the drop-down arrow located at the extreme right corner of the screen.
  3. Select Profile.
  4. Under your profile details, you will find the Freeze Account option.

Unfreezing a Voluntary Frozen Account 
Note: The Unfreeze Account option is available only on the IIFL Markets Web Portal.
  1. Visit https://markets.iiflcapital.com/ and log in using your credentials.
  2. Click on the Unfreeze Account option.
  3. Enter your PAN Number and Date of Birth.
  4. Click Get OTP.
  5. Enter the OTP received on your registered mobile number or email ID.
  6. Upon successful OTP verification, your account will be unfrozen.
Important: The account unfreeze facility is currently available only through the IIFL Markets Web Portal and is not supported on the mobile application.
