Voluntary Freeze Account / Unfreeze Account
A voluntary freeze account is a security feature that allows you to temporarily suspend access to your financial or brokerage account to prevent unauthorized transactions. It is a proactive measure commonly used in investing and trading when fraud or suspicious activity is suspected.
Voluntary Freezing Your Account
Via IIFL Markets Mobile App
- Log in to the IIFL Markets App.
- Click on the three horizontal lines beside your name.
- Select View / Manage Profile.
- Under Account Details, choose the Freeze Account option and proceed with the required steps.
Via IIFL Markets Web Portal
- Log in to https://markets.iiflcapital.com/.
- Click on the drop-down arrow located at the extreme right corner of the screen.
- Select Profile.
- Under your profile details, you will find the Freeze Account option.
Unfreezing a Voluntary Frozen Account
Note: The Unfreeze Account option is available only on the IIFL Markets Web Portal.
- Visit https://markets.iiflcapital.com/ and log in using your credentials.
- Click on the Unfreeze Account option.
- Enter your PAN Number and Date of Birth.
- Click Get OTP.
- Enter the OTP received on your registered mobile number or email ID.
- Upon successful OTP verification, your account will be unfrozen.
Important: The account unfreeze facility is currently available only through the IIFL Markets Web Portal and is not supported on the mobile application.
