How client can change PAN number in trading account?

As per exchange guidelines, PAN modification in an existing trading account is not permitted.

PAN is treated as a unique client identifier in the exchange system.

Therefore:

  • PAN cannot be modified in the existing trading account.
  • If any client obtains a new PAN, the following process must be followed:
    • The existing trading account must be closed.
    • A new trading account must be opened with the new PAN.
  • After account closure, holdings may be transferred to the new account through the closure-cum-transfer process.
